• Report damage to work buildings on base by calling 456-3071.
  • Reporting damage to on-base housing during post storm recovery operations will begin once it's safe to do so. To report emergency damage to your home call 747-2723. 

Areas Prone to Flooding

Please be advised that the following streets on Barksdale shown in red on the map below are most prone to flooding:

  • Davis Ave from Vandenberg Ave to Kenney Ave
  • Lindbergh Rd from Vandenberg Ave to Shreveport Rd
  • Bossier Rd from Vandenberg Ave to Davis Ave

While these areas are known to flood, this doesn't exclude the possibility that other areas around base may experience higher rates of water flow and retention than normal. Avoid the streets listed above during and after the storm, and be cautious of other areas that may have a higher than normal accumulation of water.

An AFPAAS event has been created to support AF personnel that may be affected by Hurricane Ida. Members in the affected region with any emergent needs (i.e. transportation, financial support or shelter) may conduct a needs assessment and/or update their displaced location information. If you submitted a needs request, Airmen & Family Readiness will contact you for your specific needs.

Instructions for accomplishing a needs assessment and updating displaced location information are as follows:

  • Log-in to AFPAAS at https://afpaas.af.mil using a CAC or username/password.
  • Click the 'My Info' tab.
  • Click the 'displaced locations' tab (located on the left menu).
  • Fill in your displaced location to include a good cell number.
  • An assessment sheet will automatically generate; fill in any needs assessment and submit.
