Airmen from the 2nd Security Forces Squadron collaborated with officers from the Longview Police Department in Texas, on July 24, 2018.
The police department reached out to the 2nd SFS military working dog teams to assist them with an investigation.
“Our dogs are trained to be detectors,” said Staff Sgt. Brandon Winter, 2nd SFS MWD trainer. “They can detect explosives, narcotics and human scent. They can find people hiding in buildings or the woods. Our dogs are also trained to bite and hold down their opponent.”
