One Airman Dead, One Injured in Off Base Vehicle Collision

An Airman assigned to the 96th Bomber Generation Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base was killed in an off-base motorcycle accident Oct. 25, 2025 at the intersection of Arthur Ray Teague Parkway and Kubota Way.

Another Airman involved in the accident, also assigned to Barksdale AFB, was seriously injured but remains in stable condition.

The deceased has been identified as Senior Airman Corbin Shaw, B-52 assistant dedicated crew chief from the 96th Bomber Generation Squadron. Shaw, originally from Burleson, Texas, had recently been selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant and performed additional duties with the squadron’s Personnel Reliability Program and Security Office.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Senior Airman Shaw,” said Col. Christopher Cain, 2nd Bomb Wing commander. “Corbin was a valued and dedicated member of our maintenance team whose loss leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and teammates, as well as the injured member of our Barksdale community. We are committed to supporting them during this difficult time.”

The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities.
