Barksdale is cooperating with local state prosecutors and law enforcement as legal proceedings are drawing to a close following a guilty plea in the 2018 shooting death of a Barksdale Airman.

Jareona Crosby, from Bossier City, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges for her involvement in the shooting death of Tech. Sgt. Joshua L. Kidd, a Barksdale Airman assigned to the 2nd Maintenance Group.

Crosby entered her plea in the Bossier District Court and is expected to be sentenced next month. Her accomplice, Alonzo Wilson, was sentenced last year to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to his involvement.
