BARKDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Barksdale currently has no suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus.
According to Department of Defense policy and guidelines, any military member who travels to any province in China, will be under Restriction of Movement, meaning the member will return to their home and stay at home, under careful watch of medical personnel for 14 days. If there are symptoms, appropriate reporting will be sent to local and federal medical counterparts for guidance and care. If there are no symptoms, the member will be cleared for duty.
The Department of Defense and Barksdale Air Force Base will continue to follow the guidance from the Center for Disease Control for this outbreak.
