BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Airman 1st Class Eduardo Ramos was fatally injured following a vehicle mishap at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018.
Ramos, a member of Barksdale Air Force Base’s 2nd Security Forces Squadron, succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident while traveling southbound on Interstate 49 from Alexandria, La., according to Sgt. Howard Johnson of the Louisiana State Police.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Airman Ramos, and our hearts go out to his family and friends as they cope with this loss,” said Col. Michael Miller, 2nd Bomb Wing commander.
Barksdale Air Force Base was Ramos’ first duty station after entering the Air Force and completing technical training.
The incident is still under investigation.
