Col. Schendzielos takes command of the 2nd OG
Col. Kurt Schendzielos assumes command of the 2nd Operations Group from Col. Ty Neuman, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 7, 2016. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility of a unit from one commanding officer to the next. Schendzielos previously served as chief, Nuclear Operations at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers of Europe in Casteau, Belgium.
