Dental technicians ensure patient safety

Staff Sgt. Tiffany Peeples, 2nd Dental Squadron dental technician, loads wrapped medical instruments into a sterilization machine at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Sept. 1, 2015. The sterilization machine vacuums out air from all of the wraps and the water penetrates each wrap, beginning sterilization. During the 45-minute process, the machine reaches 270 degrees for four minutes to ensure the instruments have been sterilized correctly. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Amanda Morris)
