Exercise Eager Lion 2015

B-52H Stratofortresses are prepared for a mission in support of Exercise Eager Lion 2015 at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 17, 2015. Eager Lion is one of USCENTCOM's premier exercises, and consists of a series of simulated scenarios to facilitate a coordinated, partnered military response to both conventional and unconventional threats. The 35-hour nonstop marked the first time that Air Force Global Strike Command bombers have participated in the exercise. U.S. Strategic Command B-52 missions provide unique opportunities to integrate and train not only with U.S. Geographic Combatant Commands, but also Allies and partners in joint and coalition operations and exercises in order to enhance interoperability and cooperation.
