Mr. Chris Bowman, who is the chief of plans and programs for the 2nd Security Forces Squadron, negotiates to gain the release of a hostage during an Active Shooter Exercise that evolved into barricaded suspect incent at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., March 20, 2015. The hostage negotiation portion of the exercise allowed Bowman the opportunity to practice active listening skills, negotiating strategies, and personality analysis to produce a successful resolution and become a better negotiator.
