Barksdale celebrates annual National Night Out

Airmen and their families gather to celebrate National Night Out on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Aug. 6, 2013. The event is part of a year-long campaign designed to increase the awareness of crime and drug prevention, and generate support for local anti-crime programs. It is also used to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message letting criminals know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
