Vehicle maintenance keep wheels rolling
Airman 1st Class Zachary Meche, 2nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Maintenance Allied Trades section, removes a valve core from a P-23 tire on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 16, 2014. Before beginning repair work on the tire, the valve core is removed so the air pressure decreases. If the air pressure is not decreased, there is a high possibility parts on the tire might pop off during repair and cause bodily harm to the mechanic or individuals in the area.
