Seeking Help: Spiritual fitness guides Airmen
Everyone has an inner voice giving them both good and bad advice, Airmen are no exception. Family, finances, religion and career can affect one’s mental stability. Airmen have services available to them such as the mental health clinic and Chaplin’s that can help with combating stress One way to combat stress is to find a place where you can meditate and focus on how you are going to handle each stressor. Airmen should try to compartmentalize stress. For example try to keep work issues at work, and home issues at home, and attempt to tackle each stressor one at a time. The Chaplain can provide a safe place to discuss issues, regardless of your religion. (U.S. Air Force illustration/Staff Sgt. Jason McCasland)
