Fuels lab ensures clean, reliable fuel
Staff Sgt. Jason Flowers, 2nd Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels laboratory technician, places a membrane filter on a bottling assembly at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 18, 2014. Fuel is poured through the membrane filter, leaving particles inside the fuel on the filter. Technicians will measure the weight of the membrane filter before the process and after to check the difference in weight. A large difference indicates the fuel has too much particles inside of it.
