The Endeavour has landed
Space Shuttle Endeavour, riding atop a modified Boeing 747 carrier aircraft, lands at Barksdale AFB, La., as the last stop before heading to Cape Canaveral, Fla. The shuttle flew in from Fort Worth, Texas and a fly over in Houston. The seven-person Shuttle Endeavour crew underwent a 16-day mission to service the International Space Station. The mission added to the International Space Station's exterior and improved the integrity of the orbital complex. The crew also added exercise facilities, cooking and new living areas to the space station. The previous space shuttle landed at Barksdale three years ago. (U. S. Air Force photo by Capt.
