AFGSC patch

The significance of the Air Force Global Strike Command patch is: Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe reflects the command’s global capabilities. The wings represent the dominance in the air and reflect the lineage to the Army Air Corps. The star represents clarity of purpose to maintain readiness and deter adversaries. The circle in the middle of the star is significant of the past and present Airmen who have made individual sacrifices to achieve mission goals. The lightning flashes, symbolic of speed and power, represent the warfighting mission, should deterrence fail, and are reminiscent of the lineage to Strategic Air Command.
