Outstanding B-52H members receive recognition

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Col. Tim Fay, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, (center), congratulates nine officers for their outstanding performance, Oct. 29. From left to right the crewmembers are from the 11th and 93rd Bomb squadrons Maj. Jonathon Beavers, Maj. Timothy Pierce, Maj. Samuel Smith, Lt. Col. Chris Jorgensen, Maj. Tim Bell, Capt. Jesse Hildebrand, Capt. David Pabst, Capt. Jeffery Rogers and Capt. Mike Matthews. Both instructors were presented a B-52 instructor coin. Each coin is numbered and unique to the instructor it belongs to. Seven crewmembers were recognized for flying 2,000 hours in the B-52. It is considered a significant milestone in a flying career with most flyers averaging around 1,500 hours by the time they pin on the rank of major. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Alexandra M.
