Transient alert

A fire extinguisher sits next to an F/A-18 Hornet multirole fighter jet on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 28. In case of an emergency, a fire extinguisher will always be located near an aircraft. The fire extinguisher is used to prevent a fire from growing too rapidly and will be used until the fire department arrives on scene to extinguish the fire.
