CDC celebrates Month of the Military Child
Parents join their children and Child Development Center providers in a parade to celebrate the National Month of the Military Child on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 5. The children had fun singing and playing alongside Sparky the Fire Dog. This special celebration is a legacy of former Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger and was established to underscore the important role children play in the armed forces community. April is packed with special activities sponsored by the CDC to acknowledge the unique contributions military children make. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Joseph A. Pagán JR.)(RELEASED)
