Clear for take off

Airman 1st Class Mario Carfagno III, 2nd Operations Support Squadron airfield manager, fires a 12-gauge pyrotechnics pistol on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 15. The 12-gauge pistol launches a projectile that creates a small explosion near its desired target causing minimal collateral damage.
