Auto Hobby Shop has grand opening

Team Barksdale members enjoy free hot dogs, chips and soda at the grand opening of the Auto Hobby Shop on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 22. The new facility replaced the original auto shop that was built in 1932 and is listed on the National Historic Registry preventing renovation work from being accomplished on that building to meet the demands of the base population. . The new building features 10 workstations for auto hobbyists to perform routine maintenance and repair, along with a new automatic car wash.
