Col. Hesterman's final flight
Col. Thomas Hesterman, 2nd Bomb Wing vice commander, gets sprayed with water by his wife and daughters after his 'fini' flight on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 13. The 'fini' flight is an Air Force tradition that can be traced back to the Vietnam War when aircrews celebrated after completing 100 combat missions. Hesterman's new assignment will be as the Air Force Global Strike Command Inspector General. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Benjamin Gonsier)(RELEASED)
