Martha Pearson, spouse of Airman 1st Class Clinton Pearson, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron, plays a castanet, a percussion instrument, while Senior Airman Chris Chappell, 608th Air Communications Squadron, plays the guitar on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 20. Pearson and Chappell played Hispanic music for Airmen and their families passing by. The castanet is made up of two concave shells connected by a single string and is used in Latin American music.
