Bataan Death March survivors honored by Barksdale leadership
Bataan Death March Survivors and their family members eat dinner with Barksdale Air Force Base, La., leadership at Boomtown Casino, Bossier City, La., Sept. 3. The Bataan Death March occurred during World War II in 1942. After American and Filipino forces surrendered to Japanese forces at the Battle of Bataan, the prisoners of war were forced to march more than 70 miles to Camp O'Donnell.
