2 SFS preps for GSC

Airman 1st Class Cody Rothery, 2nd Security Forces Squadron patrolman, fires an M-203 grenade launcher on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Sept. 10. Rothery practiced firing the M-203 in preparation for the 2012 annual Global Strike Challenge. Each wing in the Air Force Global Strike Command sends a team to represent security forces, maintenance, munitions and operations to compete in the challenge. The M-203 is capable of firing a variety of rounds enabling it to be used for demolition, room clearing, crowd control, concealment, signaling and illuminating areas.
