Barksdale celebrates Oktoberfest 2012
Capt. David Janowic, Air Force Global Strike Command A-6 deputy branch chief, gives a beverage voucher to Capt. J. Alan Goddard, 2nd Operational Support Squadron weather flight commander, during the 5th annual Oktoberfest celebration on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Oct. 5. The festival is based on the traditional Oktoberfest, a 200 year-old festival held in Munich, Germany. The event, which lasts 16 days leading up to the first Sunday in October, includes large amounts of hearty food, Bavarian delicacies and beverages.
