Barksdale celebrates Oktoberfest 2012

Dallas-based Polka band, AlpenMusikanten, entertains the crowd as children dance during Barksdale's 5th annual Oktoberfest celebration on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Oct. 5. The festival is based on the traditional Oktoberfest, a 200 year-old festival held in Munich, Germany. Proceeds from the event will go to Operation Bright Holiday, which purchases airline tickets for junior Airmen to spend holidays with their families.
