A B-52H Stratofortress lands on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Nov. 6. For more than 40 years, the B-52 has been the backbone of the manned strategic bomber force for the United States. It is capable of dropping or launching the widest array of weapons in the U.S. inventory, including gravity bombs, cluster bombs, precision guided missiles and joint direct attack munitions.
