Aircraft arrive for 2012 Global Strike Challenge
A French KC-135 Stratotanker lands as a B-52H Stratofortress sits on the flightline on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Nov. 5. The KC-135 landed here as part of the 2012 Air Force Global Strike Challenge. The purpose of the GSC is to showcase the world's premier bomber and intercontinental ballistic missile force, foster esprit de corps through competition and teamwork, recognize outstanding AFGSC personnel and teams and improve combat capabilities through competition and crosstalk.
