Course 15 is scenario-based comprehensive course designed to provide NCOs with the foundation required for future in-residence leadership experiences, but comes with a 12-month time limit for completion.

“Airmen who fail to complete the applicable distance learning course within 12 months of notification will automatically be rendered ineligible to reenlist or extend until the requirement is met,” said Master Sgt. Jeffery Jewell, 2nd Force Support Squadron base education and training manager.

To help Airmen prepare for the two set course, Team 5/6 hosts groups with a Senior NCO mentor from the Top III.

“The move to distance learning course is new,” said Tech. Sgt. Michael McDaniel, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron Airman dormitory leader. “People have been struggling with it and the pass rate is low, we looked for a way to help by implementing study groups."

The study groups meet once a month in the FSS training room. Airmen can sign up by using the Career Assistance Advisor’s SharePoint.

Airmen who have failed one of the exams may no longer participate in that particular study group to eliminate the possibility of test compromise.
