From outdoor programs to rental gear, Airmen have the opportunity to shape what the 2nd Force Support Squadron offers.

Airmen, ranked E1-E4, are encouraged to take the "Be Heard!" online Airman opinion poll and tell 2nd FSS leadership what they want to see at Barksdale. The online survey takes approximately three minutes to complete.

"The ultimate goal of this survey is to enhance lives at Barksdale," said Kyle Hamaoka, 2nd FSS Marketing. "We are using the survey to gather the opinions and preferences of Barksdale Airmen."

This 2nd FSS initiative will gather inputs from Airmen and use them to enhance current programs and possibly bring in new programs as soon as this year.

"The information will be used to shape 2nd FSS morale program offerings available to our Airmen and their families this fiscal year," said Hamaoka. "Some of these programs will be subsidized by an Air Force program called the Single Airmen Initiative, making it possible to offer them at highly reduced rates."

Currently, only 150 Airmen have taken the survey and given their opinion, but 2nd FSS leadership is looking to receive many more inputs by the Oct. 31 deadline.

"As the name implies, this is a chance to be heard," said Hamaoka. "The survey is anonymous, and it gives you a chance to tell us what you want, versus us telling you what we think you want."
