A lower-level adverse action is nonjudicial punishment pursuant to Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice. A commander can impose nonjudicial punishment of correctional custody, forfeiture of pay, reduction in grade, extra duties, and restriction. The following Airmen received nonjudicial punishment in October 2008: Nonjudicial Punishment: 11th Bomb Squadron A major was arrested for driving under the influence. Punishment was forfeiture of $2,899 for two months and a reprimand. 20th Bomb Squadron A first lieutenant was arrested for DUI. Punishment was forfeiture of $1,000 for two months and a reprimand. 26th Operational Weather Squadron A senior airman was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct. Punishment was reduction to airman first class and a reprimand. A staff sergeant was arrested for larceny out of the Base Exchange. Punishment was a reduction to senior airman and a reprimand. 2d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron A staff sergeant was charged with dereliction of duty. Punishment was a suspended reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $43.50 and a reprimand. A senior airman was charged with dereliction of duty. Punishment was seven days extra duty and a reprimand. 2d Civil Engineer Squadron An airman first class was charged with failure to go and Absence Without Leave. Punishment was a suspended reduction to airman, forfeiture of $75 for two months with a suspended forfeiture of $125 for two months, seven days extra duty and a reprimand. 2d Maintenance Squadron A staff sergeant was charged for communicating a threat and assault. Punishment was a reduction to senior airman and a reprimand. A senior airman was charged with wrongful sexual contact, assault and communicating a threat. Punishment was a suspended reduction to airman first class and 30 days extra duty. A senior airman was charged with dereliction of duty and sleeping on duty. Punishment was a suspended reduction and a reprimand. 2d Munitions Squadron An airman first class was charged with AWOL and making false official statements. Punishment was a suspended reduction to airman, forfeiture of $550 for two months, 30 days base restriction, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand. 2d Security Forces Squadron An airman first class was charged with reckless discharge of firearm. Punishment was a reduction to airman and a reprimand. 608th Air and Space Operations A senior airman was arrest for larceny, drunk and disorderly conduct, communicating a threat and disrespect to a noncommissioned officer. Punishment was a suspended reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $447 for two months with suspended forfeitures of $447 for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.
