AF Global Strike Command official to discuss Air Force cyber mission at Bossier City event Published Sept. 23, 2010 By News Release BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Brig. Gen. Robert D. Rego, mobilization assistant to the Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, will serve as guest speaker during the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association luncheon, scheduled Sept. 28, 11:30 a.m., in Bossier City. Prior to assuming his current position in June, General Rego led transition efforts to establish the cyber mission within Air Force Space Command. His remarks during the luncheon will focus on the Air Force cyber mission and activities. In his current position, General Rego provides trusted counsel to the commander on issues and policies impacting the Command's Total Force team of active duty, reservists, guardsmen and civilians. Prior assignments include a tour as a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile crewmember and duty at Headquarters U.S. Space Command, Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colo. As a Reservist, he has served in special projects at U.S. Space Command, as the Air Force Research Laboratory liaison to the U.S. Army Big Crow Program Office, and as the Chief of the Space Control Mission Team at Headquarters Air Force Space Command.
