Jason McCasland 2nd Bomb Wing Public Affairs BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Twenty-seven members of Team Barksdale were selected for promotion to the rank of senior master sergeant Feb. 28. Air Force officials selected 1,360 of 12,834 eligible master sergeants for promotion to senior master sergeant for a selection rate of 10.65 percent this year. The average score for those selected was 673.11, with an average time-in-grade of 4.02 years and an average time-in-service of 18.89 years. The average score was based on the following point averages: 135 for enlisted performance reports, 20.63 for decorations and 71.73 for the promotion fitness examination.
