The air conditioning at the Base Exchange at Barksdale is broken and is currently under construction.

Patrons are still able to shop at the exchange during the fix.

“The air conditioning units have arrived,” said Kelly San Nicolas, Barksdale base exchange sales and merchandise manager. “The crane will arrive next week and the installation will begin shortly after. We have more than 20 air conditioning units to install on the roof and we hope to be finished as soon as possible.”

Be on the lookout for information on a Base Exchange event to celebrate the fix.

A contractor will be in charge of fixing this reoccurring issue. The air conditioning is scheduled to be fixed by June 7, 2018.
