    Defenders of Liberty Air & Space Show 2021

    The Defenders of Liberty Air Show was first held in 1933 and is a full weekend of military and civilian aircraft, with performances and displays. The event showcased performances from the Thunderbirds, F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and a host of additional acts. It allows Shreveport-Bossier City to showcase the home of the B-52H Stratofortress, grant access to tour the military installation, view military and aerobatic performers, and support the recruiting arm of our armed forces.

    Air Show shortened Sunday due to weather

    The number of performances during the 2021 Defenders of Liberty Air & Space Show on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Barksdale Air Force Base will be downsized due to weather and low air ceilings.

    Barksdale hosts highly anticipated 2019 air show

    The 2019 Defenders of Liberty Air and Space Show officially kicked-off May 18, 2019 following a two-year hiatus since it was transitioned to a biennial event.
