Rickenbacker Ave construction project
Local contractor, Justin Earnest, surveys land inside the construction zone on Rickenbacker Avenue near the Barksdale Fitness Center on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 19. Construction crews are adding drainage structures, which prevent high-water build-up and improves vehicle safety. The two-phase construction project will continue until approximately Aug. 12, however the fitness center’s overflow parking lot is slated to reopen July 11.
