Multicultural Day
Two girls perform the Korean Puppet Dance, or Kok Tu Gak Shi, during Multicultural Day on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 20. The dance, which contains eight acts, tells the story of social life amongst common people in past Korean society. The hidden message of the dance is the struggle the poor class has against the corrupted ruling government. The dance originated more than 2,000 years ago during the Silla period.
