We need your assistance to help maintain our base appearance standards. As such it is important to review our current standards. While we are updating our policy letter, the standards have not changed. The useful information and contacts below are intended to assist you.

Recreational vehicles (RVs), boats, utility trailers and all non-daily use vehicles must be parked in the Force Support RV parking on the East reservation or off-base. These vehicles shall not be left anywhere else on Barksdale for more than three duty days. Community Services Flight charges a small fee of $20 a month to park in the RV lot for non-dorm residents and $15 a month for dorm residents. Comparable rates off base are as much as $100 per month. For additional information, contact RV Parking at 318-456-3426.

Please take advantage of our Auto Hobby Shop for major vehicle repairs because those repairs are not authorized in parking lots. In the event your vehicle drips oil or fluids of any type, you must properly clean-up and dispose of the material. Fluids can be taken to the Auto Hobby Shop. For information on clean-up of residue, rags, etc., please contact the 2d Civil Engineer Squadron at 318-456-4629.

Vehicles are prohibited from parking on grass or lawn areas. This will help maintain a professional appearance across base and protect the environment -- two smart and easy steps we can take.

Parking in our base housing is regulated in concert with our Pinnacle partners and enforced with our Security Forces. Storage of commercial vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, boats, trailers, large trucks, buses, large motor homes, friends' vehicles and repair of motor vehicles including oil changes, is expressly prohibited anywhere in the community, to include private garages. For additional information, please call 318-456-2723.

Violators of the above policy will be issued citations. Vehicles not moved will be towed at the owners' expense to an off-site location. A local towing company provided an estimate of $160 for tow and first day storage, plus a $20 fee per day for storage. Oversize or out of state vehicles are charged even more.

Our intent is to maintain our base to the highest appearance and safety standards. We solicit your assistance in making Barksdale the crown jewel of Air Force Global Strike Command.
