BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. --
We have a Barksdale AFB forecast to help prepare you and your families for the upcoming winter weather this weekend through next Monday.
The Barksdale AFB weather flight is forecasting 2-4 inches of snow on Monday. However, winter precipitation mix is possible through the weekend. If winter precipitation falls and freezes to paved surfaces, road conditions and parking lots will be degraded. Lingering frozen precipitation may melt but it likely refreeze overnight. Ice may not be visible. Please use extreme caution while driving and walking on paved surfaces.
To prevent pipes from freezing, remember to let water drip from the faucet. Running water through the pipe – even at a trickle – helps prevent pipes from freezing.
