The 2nd Force Support Squadron collected dresses and suits for the Cinderella and Prince Charming Project at the Airmen and Family Readiness Center to help military spouses prepare to attend this year’s Air Force Ball.

The Air Force Ball will be held Sept. 22, 2018, with social hour beginning at 5 p.m. with the formal portion and dining beginning at 6 p.m.

“We have collected dresses and suits for anyone who can’t afford new ensembles for the Air Force Ball,” said Master Sgt. Jennifer Ellison, 2nd FSS readiness noncommissioned officer in charge. “Anyone can come in, try one on and leave with free formal wear.”

The A&FRC collected 80 dresses and four men’s jackets, distributing a total of nine pieces of formal wear to Team Barksdale spouses. The 2nd FSS is finalizing a location where the closet will be permanently available.

“It’s a great cause because it allows you to save some money and wear something you usually don’t,” said Reed Dean, a Barksdale spouse. “They had a variety of sizes and I was able to find one that I liked.”

By finding this dress with the Cinderella and Prince Charming Project, Dean is prepared for the Air Force Ball.

“The dress was what I was looking for,” Dean said. “It fits the Air Force Ball and me.”
