“It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me” Batman
We have talked a lot in this column about the concept of “being”. Who are we? What is our purpose? These are big questions that we all must answer. One of the things that helps us in our journeys and personal evolution is evaluating our actions and our deeds. A big piece of “who are we?” is “what are we doing?” Now I don’t personally believe that we should be defined completely by our actions, however, that is how society tends to label people. A person that drinks too much IS an alcoholic. A person that steals IS a thief. This kind of labeling leaves little room for an individual to grow, change and evolve. I believe we can evolve and change.
