Barksdale gets a heavy visitor

Senior Master Sgt. Jerome Smolarek, 512th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flying crew chief, guides a crew from the 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron during the de-icing process of a C-5M Super Galaxy from Dover Air Force Base, Del., on the flightline at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Jan. 12, 2018. The de-icing liquid is a heated solution that is used to not only to melt ice, but work toward preventing more ice from forming. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Tessa B. Corrick)
