Day of Infamy
An American flag flies at half-staff on the 2nd Bomb Wing flagpole Dec. 7 on Barksdale Air Force Base. On this day 1941, the Japanese launched a deadly surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii pulling the U.S. into World War II. December 7 is designated National Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day in honor of those American patriots who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor.
